Although many consider crystal therapy new age, history suggests humans have had a stong link to crystals for thousands of years. The belief that crystals possess healing energy stretches back to many ancient cultures across the world. Native american tribes used the precious gem stones in everyday life for healing and practical purposes. Many of these tribes held the belief that the souls of the good entered crystals after death, using the stones to expell the pure energy they held. Some people even today still consider these ancient views and use crystals to hold a persons essence when death is close. Ancient Indian cultures teaches us about the seven chakras in which energy is circulated throughout the body. From the first chakra, which is situated at the bottom of the spine, to the seventh chakra, otherwise known as the crown chakra at the top of the head, can all be alligned using colour co-ordinated crystals for physical and mental wellbeing.
In modern day, crystals have a wide and varied use, from the precision of a quartz watch to treating every illness known to man, as well as creating a more peaceful and harmonious exsistence for those who use them in meditation.
